Koh
Samed's natural beauty has allured many
tourists. It offers a tranquil atmosphere
combining with the clear blue sky, white
sandy beaches and crystalline clear sea-water.
Koh Samed is registered as one of the
Thailand's National Parks situated in
Rayong Province about 200 km. east of
Bangkok. It usually takes about 2.5 hours
drive from Bangkok to Ban-Phe District,
Rayong. The island is approximately 6.5
km. from main land, Ban-Phe District,
with the total area of 5 squared km. Most
of the land area is forested with beautiful
beaches dotting intermittently on east
and west side of the island.
The traveler usually occupied themselves
with many activities such as sunbathing.
swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, body
massage, body painting, Jet Ski and windsurfing.
Travelers
sometimes arrange a day trip to visit
nearby islands such as Koh Kudee and Koh
Talu for swimming and snorkeling. (more

Koh
Samed can be visited virtually the whole
year round, but the best time for visiting
is between November to February.
